Pyper, during the course of your project based around helping the SPCA, your enthusiasm has never lacked! You have had to communicate very clearly when creating your educational poster, as small children are not always an easy audience to cater to! I was very impressed that you went to volunteer your time and energy at the SPCA, especially on your own. This act displayed a real passion for ‘getting in there’ and making a difference to the welfare of the animals. I am sure the SPCA appreciate your contributions to their cause.
Hi I am Pyper. I go to Enrich@ILT on a Tuesday. Enrich is a gifted and talented school it is really cool. We have a concept curriculum and our concept curriculum for 2011 is interactions.Interactions are when two or more objects have an effect on each other.Feel free to leave comments on my blog!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Today I have finalized my list of where I am going to put up my posters and when I am going to the SPCA to help out.
The places I am putting up my posters are Waihopai, Donovan, Sacred heart, Salford, Myrossbush and Enrich which are all primary schools around town.
I am excited and hoping I can make a difference to people caring about animals.

SPCA movie
Two days ago (Monday) I went to the SPCA with Samantha and took a video of some of the cats and dogs. The animals that the SPCA sell are, dogs and cats but, they have their own hens, chickens and roosters and sell free range eggs for $3.00, they also have goats but they are not for sale. This is a video of the animals at the SPCA.

Talent evaluation feedback
Pyper it was great to see your understanding of the planning, building and programming of NXT robots increased hugely over your talent development project. You had the strive for accuracy many times to get the programming to work in the way you wanted it to. This is a great skill to have. Well done.
You have made good links to the inputs and outputs of the robotics to systems but have you thought which part of the robot would be the processor?
I notice you mention in your reflection another Habit of Mind you used was listening with understanding and empathy, when did you use this? Was this when you were working cooperatively with your group?
It will be interesting to see which are the additional components needed for an advanced robot and the difference in the programming required.
